Don’t test my love…

I took a trip to the pet store tonight to get Monkey some more toys (as if she needs them), anyway, it was money well spent because all three mice are soaking wet in drool after she played on the stairs with them all night.

I have a dozen projects scattered around my living room right now but instead of working on them I looked at this all night:

No partying here. We are sick. I have been sick since Christmas.

I am not much of a resolution maker. But for this coming year, my hope is that all the people I care about find happiness and health. As generic as that may sound, I so truly long for it, for them.

It’s a chilly 32 degrees here tonight. The worst part about it is that a few nights ago it never left the 50’s.

I absolutely must mail out the bulk of my Christmas Cards sometime tomorrow (Friday). Do you want one? Give me a shout.

This would be a fantastic tree to have a tree house in.

It’s officially Thanksgiving.

I am so thankful for my loving family and everything they do for me. We are especially thinking of our Alpha Company family in Afghanistan and around the world.

It’s been a struggle for me to find enjoyment in the holiday season this year. I can’t help but think about all the people struggling across our country. The ads and commercials for Black Friday sales and early store openings make me mad. I feel like I could go on and on how people have it hard right now and that we should be more appreciative of the good fortune we do have. But I won’t. If you are reading this, my clearly unsolicited advice is don’t get too wrapped up in the commercial side of this time of year, make sure to hug your loved ones, remind them you love them, and last but certainly not least, be kind.
